Week 15

I’ve removed a lot of the colors. I edited some of the type to better fit the graphic. I have also added sprites that some gamers will hopefully recognize. Not everyone will get these references, but the part of the target audience probably will.  I used the ? blocks from Super Mario World to emphasize the question in the title. I use the warp pipes from the Super Mario Bros series to draw a visual pathway for viewers. The bats are altered sprites of the enemies called Keese, which is pronounced like keys, from The Legend of Zelda and they are holding the key. The old man and old woman, also from The Legend of Zelda, are copied in order represent the elderly at the conclusion.

Week 14

Here is what I’ve got so far with my info graphic. I don’t think all the color is necessary but I thought it would help draw attention. I think some text needs to be changed. I’ve also been thinking of adding elements that correspond to the subject matter.

Week 13

We were to research a topic that we are then going to turn into an info graphic. This info graphic is to be used to help persuade opinions on a contemporary issues. I wanted to do something with video games. At first I was going to do something with video game violence but I didn’t know what direction to go with it. I was then going to compare the ways different age groups were effected by video games but I felt like it wasn’t persuasive. Then I decided to focus on the elderly and how video games have shown to mentally benefit them.

Here are my sources that I researched for all the steps of researching:
